Due to the vast number of inquiries that we have received from schools, teachers, parents, and students alike, we would like to assure the Mohawk Valley, Central New York, and the larger STEAM community that the Project Fibonacci® Foundation will continue to use The Beeches property for the now-renamed Fourth Annual Project Fibonacci® STEAM Leadership Conference, which will take place Sunday, July 28 – Saturday, August 3, 2019.

The Project Fibonacci® Foundation is proud to have been able to call The Beeches property home for the previous three summer conferences, and we look forward to continuing that relationship for our 2019 offering and beyond.

Per Project Fibonacci® Foundation founder and chair Andy Drozd: “We are currently exploring multiple options for the foundation’s sustained, long term growth for the benefit of Rome, our area students, and the surrounding communities.  We are actively seeking to establish a permanent presence in Rome and to expand our footprint over the next two years as well as help bring in new opportunities for the region.”

We want to head off any potential inaccurate rumors that may arise because of the unfortunate closure of The Beeches, but wish to assure the public that we will remain there for this year.

The Project Fibonacci® Foundation is a non-profit, 501-C-3 educational organization that is focusing on using STEAM education – an interdisciplinary model that includes science, technology, entrepreneurship, the arts, and math – as a catalyst for better workforce preparedness and improved economic development in Rome, the Mohawk Valley, and Central New York. That has not changed – and will not change – because of recent events.

We look forward to our continued partnership with the Destito family as we prepare for our fourth annual STEAM Leadership Conference, welcoming in up to 140 STEAM Scholars entering 9th grade through junior year of college who come from all over New York State and beyond.

For more information about the 2019 Project Fibonacci® STEAM Leadership Conference, if you wish to make a donation, or would like to nominate a potential STEAM Scholar, please visit www.ProjectFibonacci.org  or email info@projectfibonacci.org for more information.
